Natasha Upcott – Principal
As the Principal of Mandurah Primary School I am very proud to be leading Mandurah Primary School in its journey towards excellence. I started at Mandurah Primary school in 2006, as the Deputy Principal, and it was with great pride that I merit selected to the position of Principal in 2011. We have seen many changes over this time, that has seen our school go from being a good school to a great school. I started teaching over 25 years ago, and I still approach every day with a sense of excitement and trepidation at the challenge of leading and educating community members of the future! I am very privileged to be leading our school community in partnership with our School Board Chair and board members. I have a great passion for public education, and believe that all children can learn and it is our job to provide the positive teaching and learning environment that will facilitate this learning. I am looking forward to working with the Chair, the board members, staff and the broader school community developing our school into an excellent Independent Public School. I love working at Mandurah Primary School, and I believe if you love what you do, it will never be just a job!

Since coming from Japan in 2013 my children have greatly benefited from their time at Mandurah primary school. The supportive teachers and engaging curriculum have helped them develop a strong foundation in both academics and social skills. I’m genuinely grateful for the positive impact this school has had on their overall growth and development. I also greatly admire our school principal as she makes everyone feel welcome and she has a heart for the children, parents and staff!
I am looking forward to spending many more years with my younger two in school until they graduate.
